The game always runs smoothly, probably 90-100 fps easy. Especially the shadows that are generated by trees and plants, these are the worse. Even the game has been released recently, many different Skyrim Special Edition ENB Preset Mods have been released to help the players fulfill the desire. With low or ultra settings, they stay the same. ini files, I changed the shadow resolution, I changed shadow detail to medium and then applied all the changes again, I updated my drivers, I uninstalled Skyrim, I deleted the ini file so Steam would create a new one. I messed with the Skyrimprefs.ini file a lot, made sure it wasn't set to read-only (also setting it to read-only just in case), I downloaded other people's. The are extremely pixelated/jagged/flickering/struttering/whatever you wanna call it, and I can't do anything about it. With everything set to Ultra, the game's shadows look awful. I've also tried Nexus without any results. We hear the game offloads shadow rendering to the CPU and as a result, ultra quality shadows really hammer the processor.
